Okemah's hospital has 34 beds and a helipad for airlift of severely ill or injured patients. The hospital serves the entire community, not just Native Americans. It also provides 24-hour, fully trained Emergency Medical Technicians as part of its ambulance service.

Okemah can serve your needs in the area of vision care, dental care, chiropractic care and family medical care. Several pharmacies are located in Okemah. Mental health counseling and chemical dependency counseling are available as well. Medical equipment for the elderly and disabled are readily available. Excellent care for the elderly is provided by our city's two nursing homes.

Okemah is also the site of the Okfuskee County Health Department which has nine full-time employees and eight other staff members who split their time between Okfuskee, Creek and Pottawatomie Counties.
